Telling Your Story in 2025
As you’re brainstorming your 2025 goals, here are 10 thoughtful questions to help guide your business storytelling via your communications strategy:
- Are my mission and vision statements in agreement with the story of what we do and where we’re headed?
- Do I consistently live up to my company’s values, and do I have stories to support my values? Or are these values just words on a wall?
- Am I story mining within my organization?
- Do I have a founder’s and/or origin story?
- Does my team believe the executive leadership communicates effectively? (Survey them — you might be surprised.)
- Have I eliminated all “spin” from my storytelling? (Yes, even the subtle kind.)
- Are my stories authentic and genuine — or do they come across as rehearsed?
- Are my stories engaging, inspiring and unique — or do they blend in with our competitors?
- How can I make my storytelling more compelling to close more sales?
- Would it help to consult with a storytelling communications expert to refine my strategy and elevate my messaging in 2025?
These questions are designed to spark reflection and inspire actionable changes in your storytelling communications. If you have any thoughts or questions, we’d love to hear them!
