I love the end-of-the-year holiday season.
And isn’t it cool it begins with the opportunity to be thankful?
As I was pondering what business owners and executives have to be (or can be) thankful for, I came up with this list of 15 reasons (many in this list apply to everyone):
- Family and friends who support you in your work.
- A successful business.
- Engaged, motivated, happy employees.
- Loyal customers.
- A quality product or service to share with the world.
- God-given talents (to lead, train, speak, sell, communicate, inspire, etc.).
- Members of the media willing to tell your story.
- Contractors who can enhance the organization’s capabilities.
As well as the opportunity to:
- Give customers something that improves their life.
- Contribute to/support the local community.
- Provide jobs (locally or remotely).
- Stay humble.
- Continue learning, growing.
- Contribute to worthwhile, charitable causes.
- Show love for all.
Of course, #7 holds special significance for me as a public relations professional, with media relations being such a huge AuthenticityPR offering. I’m certainly grateful for all the relationships I’ve established with reporters and other media professionals over the years.
Also grateful for clients providing newsworthy stories. Without that, media relations is very difficult.
In addition, I’m super grateful to all of you for being readers of the AuthenticityPR blog and newsletter. Hope you’re finding value in the tips, advice, etc. being shared.
So grateful for all the AuthenticityPR newsletter subscribers. Thank you for being loyal readers.
The 3 Big Takeaways
- Gratitude starts with the people who support your success — family, employees, customers.
- Business owners have the unique opportunity to create jobs, serve communities, and make a difference.
- Taking time to be thankful keeps you humble, grounded, and connected to what matters.
What are YOU thankful for this Thanksgiving season? Do share!
Wishing you and yours an authentically happy, safe and joyous Thanksgiving.
